GMX 215 High Temperature Alloy

GMX 215 is an NGK exclusive copper nickel tin alloy with thermal stability above 200 °C. It's built for springs and contacts that run hot. NGK Berylco France has been one of Europe's leading high precision processors of beryllium copper strip since 1971, and UK customers are looked after from the NGK Berylco UK office in Salford.

NGK Berylco's GMX copper-nickel-tin range is a family of beryllium-free alloys built for demanding specifications on temperature resistance, friction and corrosion. Grades include GMX 96 (C72700), GMX 215 (C72950) and GMX 158 (C72900), supplied as strip and as rod and wire.

Copper-nickel-tin is worth a look when a design needs strength and heat resistance but conductivity is less critical, or when a beryllium-free material is preferred. For high current contacts, beryllium copper still leads. For springs that run hot, bearings and bushings, and parts exposed to friction and corrosion, the GMX grades often come out on top. NGK Ber

ylco can compare both families against your specification.

Modern vehicles are packed with connectors, sensors and safety critical electrical parts, many of them under the bonnet where heat and vibration never let up. Automotive engineers specify NGK Berylco alloys for contact force that holds over the life of the vehicle.

GMX 96 offers very high mechanical strength and excellent resistance to stress relaxation. GMX 215, an NGK exclusive, brings thermal stability and heat resistance above 200 °C, with elasticity that exceeds copper-beryllium alloys. Across the range, the alloys combine mechanical strength, thermal stability, corrosion resistance and friction performance, though electrical conductivity is lower than the Berylco beryllium copper grades.

Buyers in regulated sectors need paperwork they can trust. NGK Berylco is certified to ISO 9001, EN 9100, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, with a dedicated laboratory and a product compliance programme behind its alloys.
